Seriously, wow!
Last night I was at the MEN Arena with Joel to see Coldplay, and it was flippin’ awesome! We were really close to the stage (literally just a few metres away!), and it was such a brilliant atmosphere.
When we got into the arena, we were actually led to where the stewards wanted us to be, and because we were near the front of the queue, we ended up really close! They made everyone sit down on the floor until they’d got everyone in (I guess it was to stop people rushing to the stage and pushing their way forward), but it certainly worked in our favour!
On the way in, everyone was given a wristband to put on, and they each had different coloured LEDs in the band which lit up at various points in time with the music! It looked so cool – I’m not totally sure how it was done, but I’m guessing it’s some kind of radio signal that can activate the bands by colour and area, but it was really effective.
And even though the Arena was packed full of people, it felt really intimate, and Chris Martin has so much energy when performing live! You could see the sweat pouring from him!
And I’ve got tickets to see them again next year when they play at the City of Manchester stadium!
